Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American producer stage and screen actress best known for her film roles as a character in Ray Undercover Brother and on the television series The Mentalist. She has a Bachelor's degree in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is a producer as well as an American actress active in theatre, television and film. Her career began as an actor in theater but then proceeded to make appearances in numerous TV series, mainstream and independent films. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico. In the following year, she made appearances on BET's acclaimed TV series The Book of Negroes. In 1995, she made her acting debut in The Tempest as Ariel. Alongside Broadway's Come and Gone, she also has credits for Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. The most recognizable part of her career is her roles in the films Men of Honor as well as The Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. Also, she is well-known for her character on ABC's crime-drama High Incident.
